Option 1: FACE-TO-FACE Superintendent Rocky Hanna has proposed to the LCS School Board for the first day of school be moved to Wednesday, August 19th. If approved, TSMS will follow suit. ***Adapted from the LCS Reopening Schools Plan SCHOOL HEALTH When students report to campus, a temperature check will be done before entering the classroom, students may not arrive before 7:30am. With a focus on prevention, TSMS will have in place:  A new 72 hour fever free return to school procedure  Separation of desks in classrooms to accomplish social distancing as feasible  Encourage outdoor socialization areas with social distancing  Prohibit large group meetings, orientations, Open Houses, field trips, pep rallies, etc. during the first semester

Option 2: TSMS Distance Learning Program

Option 2: TSMS Distance Learning Program

OPTION 2: TSMS Distance Learning Program TSMS teachers will offer instruction in every grade level through the TSMS Distance Learning Program. Students will follow the same pacing and curriculum at home, as those who are on campus: All coursework must be completed at the same pacing, and daily attendance will be taken through TSMS Connect. This option allows students to stay connected with TSMS alongside the flexibility of working from home. **Chromebooks will be distributed to families in need of technology devices.

    1- My family needs a device for my child to commit to the distance learning program, can technology be provided by the school? Yes, Chromebooks may be assigned to families who in need. There will be an agreement between the family and the school. We will update this site on how to become eligible.

    2- Do students in the distance program need to purchase uniforms? No, if you are selecting the distance learning program you do not have to purchase uniforms. They are only required for students who are on-campus. If you student comes to campus for Semester 2, it is expected they will be in uniform.

    3- Will school meals continue to be free? Yes, TSMS will continue to be a CEP school during 2020-21, which means all students are eligible for meals at no charge. SLA Management will continue to prepare our meals

    4- Are mask required on the school bus? Yes, it will be mandatory for students to wear masks while riding the school bus. Additionally, bus drivers will also be required to wear masks and gloves while operating the school bus.
